- Coarse, mostly prostrate, perennial grass.
- Introduced. Native to Europe*. Appears to be highly
invasive in Central Valley vernal pools.
- Flowering time: April - June.
- *Not treated in Jepson Manual. Some confusion
over whether the species invading the Central Valley is the
weed G. declinata or the native G. occidentalis.
