Distinguishing Characteristics

• Dense, stellate hairs on the calyx. Bright pink petals.
   
• Compare with Sidalcea calycosa which has pale pink petals and a combination of long and short hairs on the calyx.

Habitat(s)

• Mesic grassland.

• Native. Endemic to the Central Valley and North Coast Range.
