Hairy Pea

Lathyrus hirsutus

Family: Fabaceae (Pea)

Habitat: grassland (moist)

Notes: Introduced. This tiny pea is distinguished by two leaflets below the coiling tendril. It uses the tendril to 'climb' other plants. While Hairy Pea is non-native, its small stature means that it generally cannot out-compete native species.
